A morning desert safari is a half-day trip into the red dunes. You leave your hotel in the early morning, drive about 55 km southeast of the city to the Lahbab Red Dunes, spend roughly two hours on desert activities and return before noon.
The sand is cooler and the light is soft and golden, which makes it a favorite for photos and for families with young children. You keep the afternoon free for the beach, the malls or a nap.
